Participation in Industry Dialogue on OSH & PMA Issues

Table of Contents

Introduction

On 29 April 2025, we had the opportunity to participate in a meaningful and productive industry dialogue that brought together key players from the heavy construction sector. The session was organized by the Malaysia Heavy Construction Equipment Owners’ Association in collaboration with the Malaysia Mobile Crane Owners Association 1987, and was held in Putrajaya with the Political Secretary to the Minister of Human Resources, YB Dr. Kelvin Yii Lee Wuen, along with the Exco members.

Addressing Industry Challenges and Honoring Key Contributions

The session provided an important platform to address the current challenges faced by industry players, particularly in the areas of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) implementation and PMA application processes. These discussions are vital to ensure smoother compliance and better safety standards across the sector.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Ronnie Liu Tian Khiew for his valuable efforts in coordinating and facilitating this dialogue, and for his continuous support towards the industry’s growth and cooperation.

Conclusion

The session in Putrajaya marks a positive step toward enhancing collaboration between industry stakeholders and the government. As we continue to navigate the evolving landscape of construction and machinery operations, such dialogues are essential in promoting transparency, regulatory clarity, and improved safety across the board. We look forward to more initiatives like this that drive meaningful change and long-term progress for the industry.
